REMINDER - Eligible for Free School Meals?

We recognise that so many circumstances have changed since the pandemic and with the current cost of living challenges - it could be that families have had a change in income. As a result, we want to make you aware that at any time we can apply to see if you are eligible for Free School Meals.

As well as a ‘free meal’ each day it also supports families financially throughout their time in school (pupil premium), regardless of whether your circumstances then change. At present, at Ashill Primary, we provide subsidies for school trips, residential visits, breakfast club and also provide a significant subsidy towards school uniform, with the additional funding this brings into school. It also pays for additional adults in school, whether that be for pastoral or academic support.

If you feel you may be eligible, please speak to Mrs Butters and she will discuss how to apply. Alternatively, you can visit the link below:

REMINDER - regarding two vulnerable children in our school

This is a gentle reminder that in our school we have two children with medical vulnerabilities and it's important that we make you aware of these.  Although this is relevant to all parents, it is particularly important to those in Badger Class.

Firstly, please see the letter below regarding the viruses such as chicken pox, measles and shingles.  We have one pupil who is currently receiving treatment for cancer and therefore has a compromised immune system at present  Please read the 'viruses' letter, as it contains very important information.

Secondly, we have a pupil with a severe allergy to nuts and we therefore took the decision two years ago to become a 'nut-free school'.  Please read the letter below to find out what is and isn't allowed regarding lunches and snacks in school.

We thank you for your cooperation and for keeping our children safe.
